Business Licences

The Village of Harrison Hot Springs is responsible for the licencing and regulation of businesses within its jurisdiction. Persons wishing to operate a business of a commercial nature or to provide professional, personal or other services for the purpose of gain or profit, must make application for a Business Licence.  View the current Business Licencing and Regulation Bylaw.

The Village of Harrison Hot Springs is a participant in the Fraser Valley Inter-Municipal Business Licence (IMBL) Program effective January 2020.

An IMBL is a separate licence meant to accompany a business licence. The cost of an IMBL is $250.00 for the calendar year and is in addition to your local municipality business licence

To be eligible for an IMBL, the business must be either:

  • Trades Contractors or other professionals related to the construction industry
  • A contractor who performs maintenance and/or repair of land and buildings from a location other than their business location

For businesses in the Village of Harrison Hot Springs interested in an IMBL, the applications are available online or at the Village Office. For businesses outside of the Village of Harrison Hot Springs, you may purchase your IMBL from the municipality in which your business resides.

Permits

Many permits are required for undertakings within the municipality. If you wish to cut or trim a tree, install a sign, or street banner, an application must be submitted to the Village Office for approval.   Please contact the Village Office at 604-796-2171 for further information.
